Pond foods come in a variety of styles and sizes. Standard staple foods are good for all types to pond fish and vary in pellet size from a small mini size to a much large pellet size. Food also can be enhance with color enhancing ingerdient and additives that will surely promote beutiful coloration and true patterns in both your koi and goldfish. Food can also come in a variety of ingredient like wheat germ. Wheat germ is a food formulated to be much gentler on the stomachs of all type of kio and goldfish. Beacuse there main ingredient is wheat germ it is much easier for the fish to digest and should be fed both coming out of winter into spring and also fed heading out of summer into the much cooler winter months. It is generally not advised to feed pond fish at all in winter months or at least whenever the temperature is below 50 degrees.
